Steps To Salvation

THE FIRST STEP

Sin entered the world through Adam and Eve in Genesis 3. Romans 5:12 says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" We believe that all have sinned and are in need of a savior.

ADDITIONAL VERSES: (Romans 3:23, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 5:18, Romans 6:23, Isaiah 59:2)

THE SECOND STEP

John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life." God gave the world his son, Jesus Christ so that we can have redemption from our sins and live eternally with him. In order to get this redemption, we must confess our sins to Christ, admit that we are a sinner, believe that Jesus was crucified for us and that he rose again, and finally repent or turn away from our sinful lifestyle and live righteously for Christ.

ADDITIONAL VERSES: (1 John 1:9, Romans 5:8, John 3:17)

THE THIRD STEP

After accepting Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior, we are called to live a new life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Upon Salvation, we are given the Holy Spirit that lives inside of us. Salvation is something that can never be taken away, as written in John 10:28-29.

ADDITIONAL VERSES: (John 6:37, Acts 2:32)

THE FINAL STEP

As a follower and believer of Jesus Christ, we are called to live righteously and GROW in the faith. A few key things that a follower needs to do in order to grow and nourish the personal relationship is read and meditate on the Bible (Word of God), have an active and sincere prayer life, and also getting involved in a local Bible-believing church. Corporate prayer and worship is important for personal development in the faith.

ADDITIONAL VERSES: (Colossians 2:6-7, Hebrews 10:25)
