The Knot Head Part III: The Van Wijk Knot

The Van Wijk Knot
This is a very cool knot, and very noticeable.  But it's also very easy to tie--probably one of the easiest thus far once you get the hang of it.  The other thing I like about it is that it is a very narrow knot and works a lot better with some of the more narrow collars that seem to be coming back.

Like I said, it is very simple.  You're basically taking the fat part of the tie around the narrow part three times and then tucking the fat part behind all three turns.  I wrap the tie around my finger three times, which I hold up right under my neck--that keeps the knot open enough the get the fat part through when you finally tuck it down.  If you practice it two or three times, you'll have it.
This is the third installment of the Knot Head series--you can read them all here.
