Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier: Duty And Honor

365 days a year, 24-hours a day, in all weather (including Hurricane Sandy) the honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery maintain their vigil.  The "Old Guard" has maintained this vigil, unbroken since April 6, 1948.

It shows the dedication to duty and honor this elite guard possesses, and a deep respect for the sacred responsibility they have accepted.  They've never left their post--not even during the 2010 blizzards.

It should make you a little prouder to be an American knowing that even in today's world, there are still those who put duty and honor above all else.
